I wanted to be a rock star but realized by the age of nine that I couldn't actually sing, which I figured might be an obstacle. Sadly, this was before the days of American Idol, where I could have humiliated myself on national television. 2. My favorite place to write is in Paris, where I lived a few years ago. I could see the Eiffel Tower from my apartment's living-room window! I barely spoke a word of French then, but I've been taking French classes in the U.S. for the past two years. 3. My first job was at a minor league baseball stadium, where I ran all the on-field promotions, bringing fans onto the field between innings to do things like a dizzy bat race, a mascot race and a water balloon toss. I'm still a big baseball fan, although I no longer run around on the field like a madwoman! 4. I write for one of the most popular magazines in the United States and have interviewed Matthew McConaughey, Patrick Dempsey, Bruce Willis, Gene Hackman and Sarah Jessica Parker, among others. I've also covered events such as the Super Bowl, the MTV Video Music Awards and the NBA All-Star Game. Fun! 5. I am only 5 feet tall!
